Watercolour Artist

Watercolor artist Pamela West

Watercolour artist Pamela WestFirst let me say thank you for taking some time out of your busy life to have a look at my watercolour art.

My passion for art began at an early age. I loved art at school and I have been making art ever since.
I am a  professional self-taught artist and developed my talent through observation of nature, reading books and lots of practice.

I specialize in miniature watercolours of a range of subjects including whimsical animals, dogs, cats, flowers, country cottages and gardens inviting the viewer into a magical world.  They are a mix of collectable scenes that has attracted fans worldwide and invoke memories of times gone by.

My inspiration comes from the beautiful countryside in Hampshire UK where I live and from Victorian nostalgia.

I paint prolifically and in 2000 started marketing and selling my work online via my website www.pamwest.co.uk and online auction sites. My work has been purchased by customers worldwide and I have hundreds of  miniature paintings in collections all across the  USA as well as the UK, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Australia, Spain and Japan.

In 2006 my art was accepted for publication in a national UK magazine for the W.I.
I painted a series of 8 large watercolours which were published throughout the year.

I have also had designs accepted for a cross stitch design company and recently have had work accepted for WS Designs for rubber stamps and decoupage which will be on Create and Craft TV later in the year. WS designs also just bought out new Card Mates which are all my designs.

I have just completed negotiations with Joanna Sheen for a double CD of my art for use on greeting cards and these will be availableon the 5th October on Ideal World and Create and Craft TV.

I am also working with a jewellery company for designs for pendants.
